Good Waste
Pratt Insitute, 2022
In the United States an estimated 30-40% of the food supply goes to waste. That corresponds to about 133 billion pounds of food. At the same time, the number of people facing food insecurity has rise from 135 to 345 million between 2019 and 2022. Thats an increase of 255%. What if 3D printing could change that?
Good Waste is a concept for a food collection and processing brand, which uses 3D printing technology to convert food waste into nutrient dense sustenance for those in need of emergency starvation relief. I designed an identity and packaging concept that feels simultaneously fun and playful, but also technological in order to represent the power or 3D printing.
